Men's 1s vs Brighton & Hove 7

For the 6th time this season, Brighton lose to the mighty Hailsham. 

Hailsham started strong with a high press, putting pressure on Brightons defence. Within minutes Hailsham had their first short corner of the game. Big Ange stepped up and made it 1-0.

With Brighton barely being able to keep the ball, hailsham soon made it 2-0 thanks to Smith-Jones. Mr reliable Dan Ruthven then made it 3-0.  

With Brightons only option by smashing the ball long from their own 16. Hailsham’s 4th goal came from a great build up play from the team. Smith-Jones getting his hattrick. With the goal scoring machine in fine form, Smith-Jones had his 4th. 

With the whistle being blown for half time, Brighton looks relieved that the first half was over. Hailsham dominating possession, soon came another chance for Kieran Gurr and sure enough he slotted it home to make it 6-0. With Big Ange coming back on to the field, he then got his 5th goal of the game. With Brighton now being down 7-0 and deflated as ever, Hailsham stayed comfortable in possession and simply just passed their way through Brighton’s team. 

Soon came another chance and as cool as you like Jamie Hayes scoring without a doubt the best goal of the game. With a sweet reverse in the top right hand corner. 8-0 

With the final whistle blown Hailsham still had a short corner to play. Flo, up from the back with a great injection and then carrying his run to the near post securing the 9th goal of them game. 

Fantastic performance from Hailsham after thrashing Brighton’s 5th team the week before.
