Men's 1s vs Eastbourne 3

Match report time - I’m writing this after being at the gun brewery. It’s not gonna be great

Hailsham started strong with a quick goal from Josh SJ. Rahm dispossessed Eastbourne high into their half and then the ball ended up in the goal. Don’t ask me how, I can’t remember. Reverse stick finish I think

Second goal, potentially Josh SJ again. I think I passed it to him actually. Either way, slammed into the backboard. 2-0

Can’t remember all the goals ngl. So gonna go to the one after half time. Hailsham implemented a brilliant defensive formation early into the second half. Eastbourne player had nobody to pass to and for some strange reason, played it to Rahm. From here, some serious hock followed. Ball into Antonia, into Josh SJ into C Hayes who slotted it into the bottom corner.

I remember a goal from Rahm. And I remember it because it was pretty average. Ball arrived in the centre of the D and the shot went directly at the keeper. The keeper and Rahm then decided to play a bit of pinball until Rahm eventually rolled the ball home.

in remembering the mediocracy of this goal I have also remembered one from Josh SJ in the first half. It was a drag flick that came off an Eastbourne players stick and foot before trickling in. The less said about this the better.

anyway that’s all that I can remember from todays 6-0 win. Overall, great team performance, defence was solid and earned a deserved clean sheet!

Along the way I missed a few sitters which is why I find myself writing this match report at 11 o’clock at night. Let this act as a reminder to practice on shooting in the future.
