Men's 1s vs Southwick 2

Another day, another away game for the

boys!

Ne went of to Steyning for a game we were al

pumped for and wanted to get some goals on

the board.

Just as the starting whistle was blown, the

heavens opened, and the game began. The

sham got of to a roaring start with an early

deflection from Gurr, that was swiftly followed

by C Hayes's first of the day. Antonia then made

it 3 with a bum squeaking effort at goal, that

tested the inside of the post. Then just before

the end of the first half, Channing decided that

scoring a goal wasn't as dramatic as he would

like. He therefore decided to score a goal with

the ball and his stick simultaneously, making i

4 for Hailsham at the half time whistle

Going into the second half, Hailsham continued

their dominance with 2 goals from Smith-Jones

that came from drag flicks at short corners. C

Hayes then scored another 2 to make his first

hatrick of the season. Southwick started to

show a bit of life in their forward play, that

tested the backline of Hailsham. However,

Freeland-Jones shortly put that to bed by

turning into a brick wall and putting their centre

forward on the floor and giving him a black eye

with what only can be described as the tackle of

he year! Freeland-Jones then showed he is not

only a monster in defense, but and demon in

attack by going to the other end and scoring a

rocket of a goal. Some say the net is still

shaking with the force of the shot. Final score is

9-0 to Hailsham
